The original kitchen was a true ode to the early 2000's. Cherry cabinets with no hardware, small island that also housed the range, and very one dimensional. We reworked the layout and relocated the range to the back wall and had a larger, custom island fabricated. Although the cabinets were around 20 years old, they were still in great condition, so we just had them all painted and added hardware to them. To us, sustainability is super important so anywhere we can save existing elements because they'll fit into design plan, we will!
